SDX & HYDRID CLOUD MONITORING IN A BOX

The evolution of TLC networks and convergent services poses complex challenges for OSS. Challenges include new network generations (4G/LTE), machine to machine (M2M), value-added services (VAS) as well as the need to provide more competitive and personalized services with a superior and granted QoE/QoS.

Traditionally OSSs address two domains: mostly Network/service assurance and Service fulfillment. New OSS generation is expected:

• To improve the quality of any offered service, acting on IT resources and via the customer experience (QoE) management

• To simplify the end-to-end service management via automation and network agility, improving the network operational efficiencies

• To predict IT infrastructure malfunctions and bad behaviors, via the continuous and strict resources monitoring, evaluating KPIs and KQIs

• To adjust IT hybrid cloud infrastructure resources capabilities, through monitoring results analysis

• To move towards virtualization, moving their infrastructures to NFV and SDN paradigms

• To reduce, definitively, OpEx and CapEx, in order to reduce and control the maintenance and operating costs efficiently

SESANV addresses these goals with the new product BiSMF-OSS (BiSQUID Monitoring Framework) that it is an OSS solution that monitors heterogeneous and complex IT systems.

The BiSMF-OSS product offers to enterprises and telecom operators a configurable solution for:

• Querying and collecting any kind of log from network devices and applications using custom commands

• Capturing asynchronous stream and sniffing data from all network elements

• Visualizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Qualitative Indicators (KQI) once the collected data has been processed

BiSquid significantly reduces time and costs for monitoring service, offering rapid development of custom dashboards. It allows for a significant reduction of the time required to setup and monitor new systems, a centralized and flexible network element monitoring architecture and the possibility to manage simultaneously heterogeneous protocol interfaces and devices to acquire and analyze data.
